X-Chem, Inc. seeks a highly organized Project/Alliance Manager to support the coordination of projects with biotech, pharma, academic, and non-profit partners. The role is hybrid and located in Montreal or Waltham, reporting to the Director of Partnership Success.

You will manage day-to-day activities, track milestones, and facilitate cross-functional communication across scientific, legal, and finance teams, while helping onboard partners and maintain governance structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, PM, or related field.
• 1–3 years in pharma/biotech environment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with deadlines.
• Collaborative, team-oriented, strong interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with contract terms or alliance governance structures (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day project and alliance activities with stakeholders.
• Track milestones, deliverables, and governance activities.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication among scientific, legal, and finance teams.
• Schedule and run alliance meetings; document decisions and action items.
• Prepare materials for internal and external meetings.
• Identify risks and elevate issues proactively.
• Assist onboarding of new partners and governance setup.
• Support collaborations from early discovery to lead/candidate generation.
• Maintain alliance and project documentation.
• Assist with ERP/project management system administration.
• Contribute to process improvements.
