The Stanford Humanities Center at Stanford University seeks a CESTA Programs Manager to coordinate its Summer Undergraduate Research Program, Faculty Research Projects, weekly seminars, and public programs. The Center supports digital and traditional humanities through interdisciplinary collaboration and outreach.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years in higher education, and strong planning, execution, and communication skills in a hybrid on-campus role at Stanford.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of digital humanities preferred but not required and 2+ years of relevant experience working in higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and administer research activities by evaluating academic programs,; coordinating and implementing changes.
  • Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends to determine program effectiveness.
  • Teach and/or assist in teaching and administration of courses; develop curriculum improvements.
  • Write/edit content for proposals and publications; assist with grant support.
  • Represent the program as the key contact and organize outreach, events, partnerships and conferences.
  • Monitor expenses, budgets, and finances of the program; recommend funding.
