Job summary

SLAC seeks a CESTA Programs Manager for the Stanford Humanities Center to coordinate and support a range of programs, including the Summer Undergraduate Research Program, Faculty Research Projects, weekly seminars, public programs, and the DH Research Scholars Graduate Program.

The role is a 100% FTE exempt position based on the Stanford campus, with an option for a hybrid/telecommuting arrangement subject to operational needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
• Advanced degree may be required for some programs.
• For jobs with financial responsibilities, experience managing a budget and developing financial plans.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and support programmatic activities, including its Summer Undergraduate Research Program, Faculty Research Projects, weekly seminars, public programs, and DH Research Scholars Graduate Program.
• In collaboration with the Center’s Communications Manager, update and maintain the CESTA website, create announcements, and other communications as needed.
• Serve as the point of contact for the labs currently hosted at CESTA, providing guidance on space use policies in consultation with the CESTA Faculty and the Executive Director, supported by the Center’s Building Manager and the CESTA Administrative Associate.
