Job summary

PECO Energy Company, part of Exelon, is seeking an engineer to support the Neighborhood Gas Pilot Program within the Strategic Programs group. You will assist in preliminary main extension designs and serve as a technical resource for CIAC calculations and project management.

You will interact with PECO Gas Operations on design locations and coordinate with customers and teams to ensure safe and compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• 2-4 years of professional engineering experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• Regulatory knowledge applicable to discipline, standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments with independent discretion under guidance of an experienced engineer (data collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation).
• Analyzes large projects or multiple small projects, interpreting power flows and conducting tests.
• Directs engineering tasks on large projects and ensures designs meet standards and criteria.
• Evaluates current technical systems and participates on teams to improve grid performance.
