Job summary

OHSU is seeking a Program Director for the Oregon Poison Center to lead statewide strategy, funding, and public education initiatives. You will collaborate with clinical leaders and the Medical Director to ensure alignment with priorities and secure sustainable funding.

The role involves engagement with government agencies, funders, and external partners, plus travel for meetings and advocacy efforts. A strong background in public health leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s, Doctoral, or Bachelor’s with 5–7 years healthcare/public health experience.
• Experience in healthcare/public health program environment.
• Public speaking and external stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with funding, policy, or grants management.
• Strong business acumen and financial knowledge.
• Proven people management and leadership.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with word processing, PowerPoint, databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead OPC programmatic, legislative, funding, and public education efforts.
• Develop sustainable funding strategy with state and federal partners.
• Engage with government agencies, funders, and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with clinical leaders and Medical Director.
• Oversee public education and poison prevention programming.
• Travel for national meetings and legislative engagements.
