Job summary

CareOregon, Inc. is seeking a Medical Director for Behavioral Health to lead clinical strategy, oversight of utilization review, and program development across the provider network.

The role reports to the VP of Behavioral Health and collaborates with senior leadership to improve care delivery within a value-based model. The incumbent will drive quality initiatives, supervise clinical activities, and partner with network leadership to expand services while ensuring regulatory compliance and

Qualifications

• Medical degree with board certification in psychiatry or pediatric/adolescent psychiatry
• Unrestricted license to practice in Oregon or ability to obtain
• Minimum 5 years in managed care or equivalent clinical leadership

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage clinical and wellness programs in behavioral health
• Provide psychiatric consultation to care management activities
• Oversee utilization, case and disease management programs across the network
• Represent the plan in provider relations, contract negotiations and community outreach
