Zusammenfassung

Hippo Insurance is seeking a strategic Actuary to lead pricing for its third‑party P&C programs. You’ll influence underwriting decisions, monitor program performance, and partner across Underwriting, Claims, Finance and Reinsurance to deliver insights that drive growth and manage risk.

The role requires ACAS credentials, broad pricing experience, and the ability to build frameworks from the ground up, using SQL, Python/R and AI tools to enable scalable pricing decisions.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field.
• ACAS with pricing experience across multiple P&C lines.
• 4–7 years actuarial pricing experience across multiple lines.
• Experience using limited data to drive pricing decisions.
• Ability to explain actuarial concepts to executives and partners.
• Proficiency with Excel, SQL, AI and programming languages (R/Python).

Aufgaben

• Support actuarial pricing for program portfolios across Property and Casualty lines.
• Develop foundations to accelerate program growth.
• Design and maintain price monitoring frameworks for underwriting decisions.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Finance and Reinsurance for pricing insights.
• Establish governance for pricing reviews, model usage, and onboarding.
• Define data model requirements to manage program performance.
