Job summary

UW Medicine is seeking a Program Operations Analyst to provide executive-level financial and operational analysis across the Dermatology department. You will support budgeting, payroll, and process improvements to enable strategic decisions and sustainable programs across multiple sites.

The role emphasizes collaboration with faculty, staff, and institutional partners, leveraging Workday and UW systems to drive accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Two years of related operational and budget analysis experience in a large corporate or university environment.
• Working knowledge of Excel and financial and administrative systems, including SharePoint, Workday, and other tools.
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with research administration and communicating complex findings.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex financial and operational analyses using Workday, BI portals, Tableau, and UW systems to support leadership decisions.
• Develop, maintain, and improve financial reports, forecasting models, dashboards, and budget tools to monitor operations and payroll.
• Collaborate with department finance and leadership on annual budgets and long-term projections.
• Analyze and reconcile financial transactions, journal entries, program budgets, and funds; ensure compliance with UW policies and GAAP.
• Support month-end, year-end, and biennium closing activities and interpret financial information for programs.
