Job summary

The National Academies seeks a Program Officer for the Biomedical and Health Sciences Program in Pasadena to manage workshops on neuroscience, neurodegenerative disorders, and drug research. Under supervision, you will coordinate strategy, content, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder engagement to meet project objectives.

You will collaborate with experts and sponsors across federal, state, and local agencies, universities, and industry, preparing summaries and workshop products.

Responsibilities

• Manage workshops, meetings, and related projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support committee formation and liaison between committees and the National Academies.
• Conduct background research and draft summaries, reports, and workshop materials.
• Supervise project staff and guide day-to-day activities.
• Plan communications and dissemination across websites and social channels.
• Develop new work with senior staff and engage potential sponsors.
• Collaborate across disciplines to support project execution.
