Qualifications

• Experience with grants, cooperative agreements, or scientific program management.
• Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison for Parkinson's disease, ALS, and other neurodegenerative research programs, coordinating among internal teams, external stakeholders, federal staff, and leadership.
• Support management and analysis of the Parkinson's disease research portfolio by tracking funded projects and analyzing trends.
• Prepare presentations, briefing materials, and reports for institute leadership related to neuroscience initiatives.
• Contribute to budget planning, portfolio reporting, and programmatic analyses.
• Coordinate activities for research initiatives by organizing meetings and documenting action items.
• Analyze data to evaluate portfolio performance and identify opportunities.
• Maintain Parkinson's disease and neuroscience program communications and outreach materials.
• Support workshops, advisory committee meetings, conferences, and other program activities.

mPower is looking for a well-rounded Scientific Program Coordinator to join our team. Working collaboratively with federal scientific staff, the Scientific ProgramCoordinator will assist in monitoring research portfolios, evaluating scientific progress, identifying research gaps, and supporting strategic initiatives that accelerate the translation of basic scientific discoveries into effective therapies for patients with neurological disorders. The successful candidate will combine scientific knowledge, analytical expertise, and strong project management skills to support institute priorities and facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison for Parkinson's disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and other neurodegenerative research programs by supporting coordination among internal teams, external stakeholders, federal staff, and institute leadership.
• Support the management and analysis of the Parkinson's disease research portfolio by tracking funded projects, analyzing scientific trends, monitoring portfolio performance, and assisting with strategic planning activities.
• Prepare presentations, briefing materials, reports, and other scientific communications for institute leadership related to Parkinson's disease, ALS, and other neuroscience initiatives.
• Contribute to budget planning, portfolio reporting, and programmatic analyses supporting neuroscience research priorities and institute-wide planning efforts.
• Coordinate scientific and administrative activities for research initiatives by facilitating meetings, gathering stakeholder input, documenting action items, and supporting cross-program collaboration.
• Analyze scientific and programmatic data to evaluate portfolio performance, identify emerging research opportunities, and support evidence-based decision-making.
• Maintain and update Parkinson's disease and neuroscience program communications, including website content, funding opportunity information, outreach materials, and resources for the scientific community.
• Support scientific workshops, advisory committee meetings, conferences, and other program activities through planning, coordination, and follow-up.
