Job summary

Carleton College is seeking a Program Manager for the Center for Community and Civic Engagement to oversee community engagement programs, supervise student fellows, and coordinate Lighten Up fundraising with campus and community partners.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of related experience, strong leadership and ethics in community work, and proven project management and mentorship abilities. This 0.92 FTE, 11-month position is based in Northfield, MN.

Qualifications

• College degree and at least 3 years of full-time related professional experience.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supervising adolescents/young adults/college students.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise two student cohorts and related community volunteer programs.
• Supervise ~15–20 student fellows across two focus areas and collaborate with staff.
• Advise students on ethics of community engagement and program management.
• Organize Lighten Up fundraising program with cross-campus partners; manage logistics.
• Budget responsibility: manage and distribute sale revenue (~$40,000/year).
• Lead ASB program staff, recruit/train leaders, manage budgets (~$10,000).
• Coordinate Summer Internships with Career Center and partners.
• Support center operations and cross-cutting initiatives across CCCE.
