Responsibilities

• Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
• Applies understanding of how areas integrate within the subfunction and coordinates with other functions.
• Assesses creation and signoff of program plans, charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder plan, acceptance plan, and issue log.
• Oversees program plans to meet business needs described in initiation documents.
• Ensures stakeholders are identified in scope definition and understand schedules and milestones.
• Works with Program Sponsor to align cost-benefit analyses with business objectives.
• Ensures areas of the program are appropriately staffed and resources allocated.
• Escalates program risks to the Program Director or Sponsor when appropriate.
• Creates the program risk management plan and tracks, closes contracts with procurement.
• Makes recommendations for training, development needs for staff and evaluates performance for pay/promotions.
• Directs area delivery and budget responsibility; responsible for resource planning.
