Virginia Department of Social Services seeks a Program Coordinator to oversee comprehensive program management and coordination of a human services area. You will develop, implement and monitor services, ensuring alignment with regulations and funding requirements.

The role requires strong collaboration with staff, clients and community partners, plus the ability to prepare proposals, manage budgets and evaluate outcomes to improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or related area supplemented with work experience in the assigned program areas or an equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Experience with grant proposals, program development and coordination is desirable.
• Strong planning, coordination and evaluation skills coupled with the ability to train and supervise others.

Responsabilités

• Provides overall program management and coordination of a human services program area.
• Prepares and reviews grant proposals and monitors program grants for compliance with policy, procedures and standards.
• Develops programs and organizes and directs special projects.
• Assess community needs and develop resources to meet them.
• Coordinate agency and community resources and programs.
• Plan, organize and oversee activities of professional, clerical and volunteer staff.
