Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, English or related field.
  • 10 years of professional communications/public affairs experience; Master’s may substitute 1 year.
  • Proven track record leading a communications team.
  • APR credential preferred.
  • Strong writing style and grammar; ability to tailor for audiences.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a communications strategy to promote CPO goals and accomplishments.
  • Manage internal and external communications with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with disciplines to align messaging with program objectives.
  • Oversee coordination of public events including meetings, open houses, and project tours.
  • Direct the CPO Communications team to meet goals on time.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of communications across audiences and adjust as needed.
