Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A in Communications, Public Relations, English or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in communications/public affairs; Master’s substitutes 1 year.
• Experience leading and managing a communications team.
• APR credential preferred; strong writing and media relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement communications strategies for the DCPO goals.
• Manage internal and external communications with diverse stakeholders.
• Coordinate events: public meetings, groundbreakings, tours.
• Direct the DCPO Communications team to meet goals timely.
• Monitor effectiveness of communications and adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure consistent messaging.
