Job summary

Magna International is seeking a Program Buyer to work under the purchasing manager, developing and maintaining supplier bases for automotive programs. You will create POs, RFQs, and coordinate with divisions to ensure production requirements are met, while building strong supplier relationships.

The role requires at least 5 years in purchasing, with a preference for automotive manufacturing experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems is expected.

Qualifications

• College degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Business.
• 5 years of experience in purchasing or a related field.
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and investigate potential new production material suppliers and current suppliers for programs.
• Create purchase orders, RFQs, and coordinate with divisions to meet production requirements.
• Oversee supplier quotations, awards, and contract management.
• Ensure supplier capacity data and ERP costs are accurate; maintain document control.
