Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Shelton, CT, is seeking a Planner/Scheduler to plan and maintain production schedules, analyze material requirements, and ensure timely fulfillment of sales orders. You will collaborate with Purchasing and the shop floor to keep deliveries on track and maintain inventory accuracy.

The role emphasizes expediting where needed and communicating priorities across departments. An Associates degree and SAP experience are preferred, with strong Excel skills and knowledge of MRP

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of production processes, scheduling, and material flow.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Minimum of two years of SAP experience with knowledge of MRP, planning, and purchasing modules.

Responsibilities

• Review unscheduled customer orders daily and maintain accurate promise dates.
• Create, schedule, and release production orders to meet on-time delivery goals.
• Manage production orders for assigned product lines for timely completion and shipment.
• Reschedule production orders as needed in line with the production plan (expedite/de-expedite/cancel).
• Coordinate with Purchasing to expedite materials to support production schedules.
• Monitor shop floor progress and communicate delays or issues affecting production or delivery.
• Collaborate with Customer Service on order status and commitments.
• Monitor inventory levels for accuracy and availability of materials.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Perform other duties to support operations and business objectives.
