Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Production Planner to execute production and materials planning in a SAP-driven environment. The role ensures accurate planning of production orders to meet customer demand, maintain optimal inventory levels, and support plant goals.

The position supports Make-to-Stock production with coordination for Make-to-Order as needed, collaborating with manufacturing, materials, and customer service to ensure schedule adherence and timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in production planning, materials planning, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience using SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) for planning and production execution.
• Strong understanding of MRP concepts in Make-to-Stock environments; exposure to Make-to-Order is a plus.
• APICS CPIM certification or progress toward certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with demand forecasts, orders, and capacity.
• Convert planned orders into production/process orders in SAP and manage order releases.
• Sequence and adjust schedules to optimize throughput and reduce changeovers.
• Support MTS with forecasted demand, safety stock, and reorder points; assist MTO as needed.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and logistics to ensure material availability and on-time delivery.
• Track KPIs like OTIF, schedule adherence, and inventory turns; participate in continuous improvement.
