Job summary

HBD Industries is seeking a Production Scheduler in Chanute, KS to plan and control the production schedule, ensuring orders are completed on time and inventory is managed efficiently. The role supports purchasing strategies, collaborates cross-functionally, and drives continuous improvements across the plant, shipping/receiving, and materials management.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of manufacturing and scheduling experience, with lean manufacturing and ERP exposure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years manufacturing and scheduling experience.
• Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics AX, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, plan, and manage production control activities to meet customer requirements and improve plant efficiency.
• Prepare factory orders and establish production schedules ensuring equipment, material, and manpower availability.
• Monitor job orders and adjust production schedules as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory management and supply chain efficiency.
• Coordinate with departments to identify and resolve production problems and communicate delays.
