Job summary

LANXESS, a leading specialty chemicals company, seeks an experienced Production Planner to develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with demand, forecasts and plant capacity.

You will translate requirements into executable schedules, monitor inventory, and collaborate with Production, Procurement, Customer Service, Warehousing, and Quality teams to optimize supply chain performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, materials planning, inventory management, or a related supply chain role.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing operational requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed short- and medium-term production schedules based on demand, forecasts, inventory, and capacity.
• Translate demand into executable schedules considering equipment, labor, campaign requirements, changeovers and material constraints.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishments to prevent shortages.
• Balance inventory availability with working-capital objectives and storage limits.
• Serve as a key link between Production, Procurement, Customer Service, Warehousing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
