Job summary

Interstate Packaging in White Bluff, TN seeks a Production Scheduler to ensure multiple work orders are scheduled for production. The role balances supply and demand, responds to forecasts, and maintains a valid master schedule for materials and capacities.

The candidate will improve data integrity and scheduling tools, collaborate with the supply chain team, and help develop standardized planning processes across the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience creating and maintaining production schedules for multiple lines or work centers.
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and inventory planning.
• Understanding capacity planning, lead times, and supply-demand balancing.
• Ability to analyze demand, forecasts, and capacity to identify shortages and bottlenecks.
• Strong Excel skills including lookups and PivotTables.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and verify the production planning schedule across lines and work centers.
• Resolve design changes that affect labor and material shortages or schedule interruptions.
• Evaluate scheduling priorities to meet fluctuating demand from sales.
• Participate in continuous improvement of Planning and Control systems.
• Oversee master schedules and ensure materials compliance for manufacturing.
