Softworld, a Kelly Company, is seeking a Production Planning Lead to oversee production scheduling, material planning, and manufacturing execution support. This role combines hands-on planning with team leadership in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will influence production performance, improve planning processes, and drive operational excellence while collaborating with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, procurement, engineering, and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production planning, production control, scheduling, or supply chain teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Master Production Scheduling, Material Requirements Planning, and capacity planning.
• Experience utilizing Oracle ERP Supply Chain and Manufacturing applications.
• Ability to balance changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team responsible for production planning and scheduling activities.
• Coordinate production schedules to align customer demand, material availability, labor capacity, and manufacturing priorities.
• Monitor schedule performance and proactively identify risks that could impact delivery commitments.
• Partner with manufacturing, procurement, engineering, quality, and operations teams to resolve production constraints.
• Maintain planning parameters including lead times, safety stock levels, lot sizing, and planning data accuracy.
• Analyze production and inventory metrics to improve schedule attainment, inventory performance, and on-time delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning effectiveness, operational efficiency, and process standardization.
• Support forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory management efforts.
