Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Production Planning Manager Supervisor to lead planning activities, optimize inventories, and align production with customer demand.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing, a Bachelor's in a related field, and strong SAP/Ariba and MS Office skills. On-site duties involve coordinating with operations, finance, and engineering to meet schedules and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, finance, business administration, or closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using SAP/SAP Ariba strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of planners to ensure that customer needs are met.
• Implement new or improved planning processes to improve efficiency and performance.
• Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering.
• Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
• Confer with personnel, vendors, or customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
• Work with Planning & Fulfillment Manager to develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas such as sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
• Forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.
• Collaborate with operations team to document physical supply chain processes such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
