Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Planning Coordinator to prepare production documentation, update schedules, and track status through operations and powder coating. The role emphasizes accuracy, strong computer skills, and clear communication to support our organization and customers.

The position involves planning with the operations team, coordinating with suppliers and project management, and maintaining post-production documentation and safety compliance on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate with experience in business or office procedures.
• Knowledge and understanding of MRP system methodologies.
• Excellent knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Prepares production drawing documentation for all product fabrications upon turnover.
• Participates in cross-functional fabrication turnovers and communicates and tracks material orders to purchasing
• Manages and updates online production schedule tracking daily through Microsoft Teams worksheets
• Prepares master packing slips for outside service product painting
• Manages paint priority lists and daily updates including communication with powder coating supplier
• Prepares purchase orders for offsite powder coating operations
• Tracks incoming receipt of outside service components and materials to facilitate production
• Facilitates production schedules by understanding project priorities and coordinating with the PM and operations
