Job summary

Vertiv in Anderson, SC is seeking a Senior Planner to lead the creation and maintenance of the master production schedule, aligning demand with capacity, materials, and business priorities. You will coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Project Management, and Engineering to optimize schedules, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvements in delivery, inventory accuracy, and flow.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in production planning or a related operations role.
• Strong scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory control knowledge.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Excel proficiency.
• Analytical mindset with ability to communicate risks and recovery plans.
• Excellent organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and preparation of production programs to support forecasts and orders.
• Develop and adjust production schedules to optimize material availability and capacity.
• Own work order control on the production floor and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Identify and expedite operations or materials delaying the schedule.
• Analyze demand, capacity, inventory, and production data to identify constraints and improvements.
• Prepare and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly planning reports.
• Maintain planning KPIs and follow up on corrective actions.
• Drive schedule adherence and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support annual inventory activities and cycle counts.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement activities.
• Provide guidance and training to planners.
• Lead or facilitate cross-functional planning meetings.
• Escalate schedule risks and material shortages as needed.
