Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a manufacturing planner/supervisor to develop and manage the master production plan (MPS) aligned with the SIOP. You will expedite materials and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure on-time delivery and optimal production flow.

You will supervise production floor activities, support planners, and drive improvements in the production control system, with a focus on economy, safety, and efficiency. A bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Supply Chain is required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of planning a manufacturing operation
• 1–2 years of supervising experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Manufacturing or Supply Chain
• Advanced PowerPoint skills
• Experience with MRP/ERP, JIT, Kanban, and production control

Responsibilities

• Prepare the master production plan (MPS) based on the SIOP production plan and report issues to fulfill the plan.
• Expedite operations or materials impacting the production schedule and monthly shipping/sales plan.
• Supervise work orders on the production floor, support planners, and report deviations to the area manager.
• Plan, develop and implement improvements to the production control system.
• Participate in inventory reduction plans and follow the MPS file for NPIs.
• Coordinate with departments to improve department and production performance.
• Supervise area personnel, assign tasks for continuous flow, evaluate performance, and recommend development plans.
