Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods Inc in Seattle, WA is seeking a Production Planner to lead the creation of the production schedule, ensure on-time fulfillment, and balance workloads across the plant.

The role requires coordinating with Sales, FSQA, and Warehouse, maintaining safety culture, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced facility with 5 days/week schedule and 05:00 start times. On-site role with no remote option.

Qualifications

• Data-driven approach to production planning, inventory control, scheduling, and continuous improvement.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems; SAP preferred.
• Two or more years of production planning/scheduling experience in manufacturing.
• Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookup).
• High school diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create daily/weekly production schedules and SAP process orders for finished goods and subcomponents.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, FSQA and Warehouse on releases and to mitigate risks.
• Develop long-term production plans based on forecasts, capacity, and inventory targets.
• Monitor KPIs and analyze schedule conformance and root causes of shortfalls.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs and food safety programs.
• Support continuous improvement and throughput calculations.
