Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Mason, Ohio, is seeking a Specialist, Production Planning to plan and control production schedules, coordinate material requirements, and ensure on-time delivery for complex programs.

You will work with Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Inventory Control, Logistics, and Program teams, using Costpoint and ERP systems to maintain inventory integrity and support master schedules. Occasional overtime may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 2+ years; or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
Practical knowledge of production planning, material coordination, inventory control, and related processes.
Ability to work independently within standard policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules to support program and project requirements.
Coordinate material requirements to ensure timely availability of approved materials in support of production demand.
Monitor and communicate work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production issues to management and cross-functional teams.
Learn and utilize warehouse management and ERP systems, including Costpoint, to process transactions and support inventory accuracy.
Maintain accurate ERP inputs and system transactions to ensure inventory integrity.
Manage inventory levels for direct and indirect materials.
Coordinate production materials to support the master production schedule and shop workload.
Work as part of an IPT to support schedule changes and shifting production priorities.
Provide part planning and inventory control parameters for make items within the control system.
Schedule and expedite movement of parts, materials, and assemblies through moves, transfers, and shipments.
Identify material shortages, assess risks, and initiate corrective actions.
Partner with Program Management, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Logistics to support objectives.
Manage multiple assignments or projects and drive to completion.
Contribute to continuous improvement of planning systems and procedures.
Work under minimal direction within established processes.
Occasional overtime may be required.
