Job summary

RBC Bearings is seeking a production control specialist in Torrington, CT. The role focuses on planning and scheduling to meet forecasts, while overseeing WIP and maintaining accurate inventory values.

The candidate will coordinate with product management to address customer needs and ensure timely delivery. The position requires 1 year of purchasing/inventory control experience in manufacturing, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year of purchasing/inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with MS Excel; knowledge of MRP systems helpful.
• Strong organizational and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production controls to meet forecasts and production schedule.
• Oversee in-process inventory and maintain accurate WIP values.
• Communicate customer needs and develop recovery timelines.
• Provide delivery and recovery dates on customer orders to support service.
• Signal the release of products to manufacturing and coordinate with work centers.
• Ensure current drawings are used in manufacturing and reconcile planned work orders in the MRP system.
• Perform system transactions as needed.
