Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated is seeking a motivated supervisor to oversee hourly production staff in Torrington, CT. You will direct day-to-day work, assign tasks, and ensure on-time completion while meeting quality standards.

This role partners with Maintenance, Engineering and Quality to optimize processes, address bottlenecks, and uphold safe, efficient operations. You will hire, train, and evaluate employees and drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Two years of technical schooling or equivalent in a manufacturing environment or related training.
• 3 years of supervising production workers.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise hourly employees, plan and assign work and schedule hours to meet production and quality requirements.
• Monitor production, adjust methods or procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee production runs to ensure methods and tooling meet quality objectives.
• Review capacity planning versus schedules to address bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with Maintenance or Engineering to keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Ensure product quality with spot checks and take corrective actions as needed.
• Interface with Quality, Engineering, Production Control, and Maintenance to address plant issues.
• Monitor earned hours, efficiencies and overtime, and manage attendance.
