Job summary

Bal Seal Engineering is seeking a Planner II in Foothill Ranch/Lake Forest, CA. The role focuses on production control, MRP-driven planning, and coordinating schedules to maintain steady workflow and on-time shipments.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in production coordination, strong ERP experience (Oracle and E1), and a track record of improving manufacturing efficiency. This full-time role requires meticulous planning and teamwork within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Minimum four years’ experience in production coordination or material management in manufacturing.
Experience with ERP systems, especially Oracle and E1.
Education aligned with high school diploma and certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Uses MRP to determine monthly production requirements for critical resources.
Plan and release work orders to support MRP messages and production.
Schedule, coordinate, and expedite flow of work within or between departments.
Attend morning meetings to communicate expedites and upcoming shipments.
Maintain running accounts of orders, work, and inventory; coordinate with Customer Service on due dates.
Match workload, staffing, and capacity to inventory; resolve major work order discrepancies.
Provide inputs to Master Schedule to meet shipping dates; use ERP planning tools.
Prepare production reports and maintain work order releases.
Analyze production specs and plant capacity to determine processes and resources.
Consult with department supervisors on progress and change orders.
Prepare outbound letters and shipment packaging; monitor and resolve delays.
Schedule carrier pickups and maintain shipment records.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
