Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is hiring a Production Planner atour Savannah Machinery Works site to coordinate production and meet contractual requirements and lead-times.

The role emphasizes schedule integrity, material flow, and collaboration with purchasing, production management and shipping to ensure on-time delivery and efficient shop floor operation. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of experience, forklift and overhead crane certs preferred,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years related experience.
• Forklift and overhead crane certificates preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; communicate effectively in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, and requisitions to determine items to move or distribute.
• Create work orders and schedule releases to designated work centers.
• Schedule released orders and manage WIP in the shop floor control system.
• Coordinate with purchasing and inventory to expedit late arriving material affecting production.
• Coordinate final shipment of product with supervisors, project managers and shipping personnel.
• Advise Production Control Supervisor of anticipated problems and material shortages.
