Job summary

nVent in Illinois (Centralia area) is seeking a Production Planning/Supply Chain professional to create, review, and release POs, and publish a five-day production schedule aligned with demand and stocking levels.

You will coordinate materials, maintain inventory, participate in lean initiatives, and support ERP implementation while ensuring on-time delivery and cost control. Requires a degree in supply chain and 1-3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years in production planning, supply chain or manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of MRP and material flow processes.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Windows, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and release manufacturing and/or purchase orders in a timely manner; expedite, cancel, defer as needed.
• Plan and publish an executable, frozen five day production schedule that meets customer demand and stocking levels.
• Coordinate Raw Materials and components to support schedule.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliverables to meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges.
• Develop expertise in using the ERP system and play a key role in the implementation of the new ERP system.
• Assist with SKU creation and management, including establishing stock status, and safety stock levels as applicable.
• Notify and work with appropriate personnel when problems arise in regards to equipment, materials, inventory, documentation, invoice discrepancies, raw materials replenishment, delivery or quality performance.
