Job summary

nVent is seeking a production planning professional to analyze component availability, schedule production, and coordinate with buyers, operations and planning to keep demand aligned with the published plan.

A Bachelor's in business or supply chain and 2+ years of experience are required; CPIM is preferred. JD Edwards experience is a plus; strong collaboration and analytical skills are essential for success at our Minneapolis offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field preferred.
• 2+ years experience in production planning, scheduling, materials, or supply.
• Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Experience with conflict resolution and project management.
• CPIM certification through ASCM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling & System Accuracy: Analyze component availability and value stream workload to assign accurate delivery dates for customized products, optimize production schedules, and monitor progress.
• Communication & Collaboration: Work cross functionally with buyers, operations and planning to resolve issues, handle customer inquiries, and provide input to sales and operations planning.
• Inventory & Order Management: Maintain accurate records, review forecasts, and process all order changes and cancellations.
• Part Planning: Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and minimize human involvement; collaborate on production planning and new product launches.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve capacity/load issues, material constraints, and drive improvements in promise date accuracy.
