Job summary

nVent is seeking a Production Planner to join our Centralia, IL site. You will create and manage production and purchase orders, and execute a five-day plan to meet customer demand and inventory targets.

The role emphasizes ERP proficiency, SKU management, and inventory optimization in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, escalate critical issues, and participate in lean initiatives while supporting a secure, reliable electrical solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 1–3 years in production planning, supply chain or manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of MRP and material flow processes.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and release manufacturing and/or purchase orders; expedite or cancel as needed.
• Plan and publish a five-day executable production schedule meeting demand and inventory goals.
• Coordinate raw materials and components to support schedule.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure on-time delivery while reducing costs.
• Develop expertise in the ERP system and assist with SKU creation and stock status.
