Job summary

Thorlabs is seeking a Purchase Planner II to oversee planning, scheduling, release, and tracking of workflow from order to shipment. You will use MRP processes to satisfy customer demand and coordinate with production to meet delivery and inventory goals.

The role requires at least 5 years in a similar planning position, strong Excel skills, and experience with MRP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics. Londonderry, NH, with potential duties at other Thorlabs locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar planning role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with MRP systems.
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to production priorities.

Responsibilities

• Create and release jobs to satisfy customer demand using MRP processes.
• Plan and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages/excess.
• Coordinate with production management to ensure schedule adherence.
• Support continuous improvement in planning, throughput, and inventory control.
• Maintain status of orders and expediting as needed.
