Job summary

Thorlabs in Londonderry, NH, seeks a Purchase Planner II to plan, schedule, release, and track workflows from order placement to shipment. You will support safety, quality, and cost objectives and collaborate with procurement to mitigate shortages and excess inventory.

You will analyze production readiness, coordinate with management to ensure schedule adherence, and drive continuous improvement in material management and shop floor throughput.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and MRP systems.
• Experience with Dynamics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and release jobs for customer demand using MRP processes to meet demand and inventory goals.
• Plan and monitor inventory levels and planning parameters.
• Identify shortages and work with procurement to mitigate them while controlling costs.
• Coordinate with production management to ensure schedule adherence.
• Participate in readiness reviews for ramp ups and terminations.
• Manage resources to meet deadlines and optimize throughput.
