Jayco Family in Indiana is seeking an inventory/planning specialist to manage material plans and production schedules, ensuring smooth flow to meet master production schedules and timely project completion.

The role requires five to seven years of related experience, knowledge of MRP II systems, and collaboration with Purchasing, Manufacturing and Master Scheduler to resolve shortages, adjust plans, and optimize inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Requires 5-7 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of company products, manufacturing processes and closed-loop MRP II systems (material/capacity planning, purchasing, inventory control, cycle counting).
• College education and APICS certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Purchases production material to meet production needs.
• Maintains the integrity of the inventory status database.
• Establishes and maintains appropriate order policies and lead times.
• Coordinates with Purchasing, Suppliers, Manufacturing and Master Scheduler on shortages and reschedules.
• Communicates with suppliers to resolve quality, delivery, and coordination issues.
• Reviews and updates reports (Back Order, End of Day, Shortages).
• Performs data entry for new parts setup.
• Supports physical inventories and data entry activities.
