Job summary

Workhorse Group Inc. is seeking a Material Planner in Indiana to schedule and track production materials, ensuring timely supply and coordination with internal teams and external sources.

The role focuses on meeting production deadlines and maintaining inventory integrity. The candidate will analyze demand patterns, coordinate with departments, raise issues, and seek efficiency improvements while supporting company-wide projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or related position.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
• Willing to travel up to 10%, domestic only.
• Background investigation and drug screen required.
• Clean driving record with up to 4 points; no DUI in last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Determining the required materials and generating schedules.
• Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
• Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timeliness, etc.
• Tracking production volume and monitoring demand patterns and purchasing trends.
• Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.
• Raising inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
• Seek ways to improve efficiency and quality within your own role, while supporting broader company-wide improvement projects that involve your function.
