Job summary

Actalent seeks a Production and Inventory Control Specialist to manage inbound material receiving, ERP/MRP transactions, and production scheduling in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will coordinate material receipts, maintain accurate shop orders and inventory records, generate status reports, and translate demand forecasts into actionable production plans, ensuring on-time delivery and data integrity in the ERP system.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred.
• 3+ years in production control or inventory management in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory planning.
• Strong ability to read BOMs, drawings, routings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt of raw materials to support production needs.
• Verify shipments against PO, packing slips and specs for accuracy.
• Inspect materials and record results with detail.
• Process ERP/MRP transactions and route materials to correct locations.
• Maintain accurate planning, inventory, purchasing and production data.
• Create and release shop orders from orders and BOMs.
