Qualifications

• Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree and active bar membership in good standing.
• 10-12+ years of relevant legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
• 5+ years of experience leading attorneys and other legal professionals.
• Experience advising senior executives on product development, licensing, data, privacy, AI, cybersecurity, regulatory requirements, and tech transactions.
• Experience leading legal support for global product portfolios or business units.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal professionals delivering frontline counselling across product development and go-to-market activities for Cisco's Security Business Group.
• Serve as the principal Product Legal partner to the leader of the Security Business Group.
• Build trusted relationships with senior executives and cross-functional partners.
• Translate complex legal issues into practical business guidance and mentorship.
• Lead and inspire the legal teams, establishing priorities and delivering high-quality support.
• Act as a trusted strategic advisor on product development, technology strategy, go-to-market models, and regulatory matters.
• Guide legal support for products throughout their lifecycles from compose and development to launch and compliance.
• Develop scalable legal strategies and cross-functional collaboration across Product Legal and other functions.
