Job summary

Winzeler Stamping Company is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to manage supplier relationships, source raw materials, parts, outside services, and MRO items, and ensure orders meet pricing and specifications.

You will monitor delivery dates, coordinate expediting as needed, handle vendor returns, and contribute to data reporting to support purchasing activities and cost controls. Four-year degree or equivalent experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum four-year degree in business or equivalent work experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of PPAP process.
• Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office, AS400, and MRP preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing relationships with, selecting, and evaluating vendors.
• Purchasing raw materials, parts, outside services, and MRO items.
• Ensuring raw materials and purchased parts match order and pricing specifications and resolving any related issues.
• Monitoring delivery dates and expedites deliveries as needed.
• Processing vendor returns and credits.
• Creating, maintaining, and distributing reports and lists for purchasing related information and data.
• Working with HR to plan and coordinate employee meals and engagement events.
