Job summary

Marlen International, located in Riverside, MO, seeks a Buyer to coordinate procurement, cost management and supplier relations to support a high‑volume manufacturing environment. The role requires organizing materials flow and strong customer service across departments.

The ideal candidate will have a four‑year degree in engineering, supply chain or business and at least 5 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing, with solid MS Excel skills and ERP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree in engineering, supply chain or business preferred.
• Solid analytical skills with expertise in MS Excel.
• Prior experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of ERP purchasing and planning modules; experience with Syteline is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cost management: develop buying strategies, seek cost reductions, negotiate terms, manage pricing and contracts.
• Purchase order: replenish inventory, process POs, liaison with suppliers, resolve discrepancies, review supplier performance.
• Sourcing: collaborate with Sales/Production, obtain pricing from suppliers, build supplier relationships, manage projects and inventory optimization.
