Job summary

Recom is seeking an experienced procurement leader to own the spend across all outside vendors, negotiate favorable terms, run competitive RFPs, and approve invoices before payment. The role reports directly to senior leadership and has the authority to drive substantial cost savings across software, services, and office operations.

You will manage vendor relationships, consolidate suppliers, and implement purchasing policies to ensure predictable, transparent, and cost-efficient procurement

Qualifications

• 7+ years in procurement, vendor management, or a closely related finance or operations role.
• A track record of negotiating contracts and delivering documented cost savings.
• Hands-on experience running RFPs from scope through award.
• Experience with accounts payable workflows and invoice review or approval.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
• Comfortable pushing back on vendors and enforcing purchasing policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract negotiation for new, renewed, and amended vendor agreements with external providers.
• Run RFPs across software, services, and facilities; build shortlists and scoring criteria.
• Review and approve every vendor invoice, ensuring rates, quantities, and services match contracts.
• Own spend reporting by category and vendor; identify and eliminate waste and off-contract purchases.
• Track savings and ensure procurement policies are followed; maintain a central contract repository.
