Job summary

SignResource in California Bell Gardens is seeking a Buyer to manage the company’s manufacturing supply chain, maintain vendor relationships, and control material costs. The role requires strong purchasing experience in a metal-working environment and a hands-on, results-driven approach.

You will issue purchase orders, monitor inventory, collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering and Sales, and support accounts payable while driving cost reductions and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated success in cost control through negotiation and strategic sourcing.
• Strong Microsoft Office proficiency and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance and address corrective actions.
• Manage material costs, usage, inventory levels, and scrap reduction.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Development, Sales and suppliers on materials.
• Attend industry conferences and trade shows to stay informed on market trends and suppliers.
• Partner with vendors to implement improvements and resolve delivery issues.
• Ensure manufacturing schedules and inventory align with customer demand.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and distribute to internal departments.
• Support Accounts Payable with supplier payment inquiries.
• Analyze inventory vs. forecast and place orders as needed.
• Respond to supplier inquiries on order status and changes.
• Review requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain purchasing records, pricing information, and supplier documentation.
• Identify and evaluate global suppliers using various resources.
