Job summary

Hoerbiger Rotary Solutions/Deublin Company in Waukegan, IL is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage assigned suppliers and parts, aligning with the Deublin global procurement strategy and focusing on cost-effective sourcing. You will collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Planning and Quality to optimize the supplier network, not by buying but by evaluating suppliers and negotiating prices.

Role includes RFQs/RFPs, sourcing new products, maintaining supplier pricing in ERP, and driving

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required; degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Supply Chain preferred.
• Minimum of three years' procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of three years' experience working with an ERP system; IFS or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of product and manufacturing processes, methodologies, and inspection techniques.
• ISM (CPSM) or ASCM (CPIM) certification is preferred.
• Six Sigma certification; Greenbelt or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vendor Management: Identify and onboard new suppliers.
• Vendor Management: Evaluate current suppliers for performance and compliance issues.
• Vendor Management: Foster ongoing supplier relationships; visit and meet with Key Suppliers regularly.
• Vendor Management: Provide suppliers with Forecasts.
• Contract Negotiation: Conduct RFQs and RFPs.
• Contract Negotiation: Source new products and prototypes with transparent quote analysis and comparisons.
• Contract Negotiation: Approve introduction of new parts for assigned components.
• Contract Negotiation: Identify and implement cost saving projects considering the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
• Contract Negotiation: Create and maintain supplier agreements.
• Contract Negotiation: Maintain current supplier pricing and lead-time in ERP.
