Job summary

Foodmate US, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Specialist/Expeditor to buy parts for various operations, maintain optimal inventory, and maximize service levels across departments. You will collaborate with Engineering and Foodmate NL to approve alternate parts and push improvements in supplier performance.

The role requires 3+ years in procurement in a technical field, 5+ years in a B2B environment, and strong SAP/MRP and Excel skills. A 2-year degree is preferred; CPIM is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in procurement/buying in a technical field.
• Total 5+ years in a B2B environment preferred.
• Experience expediting vendors to maximize on-time delivery.
• Vendor negotiations and contract evaluations experience.
• Strong inventory planning and forecasting knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook; SAP/MRP desired.
• APICS CPIM certification is a bonus.
• Two-year degree desired, but equivalent work experience welcome.

Responsibilities

• Supports department managers with purchasing needs.
• Executes purchase orders in SAP/MRP; create part numbers in SAP.
• Procure non-stock, emergency orders, raw material and special orders.
• Process PO confirmations and open PO follow-up.
• Expedite parts for sales orders and late PO lines.
• Assist with cost-reduction strategies, localizing vendors when possible.
• Develop supplier base to improve on-time deliveries and quality.
• Identify new vendors and support tender processes.
• Coordinate with Quality on RMA and FAI when needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Provide admin support for purchasing projects and supplier management.
