Job summary

Stellant Systems, Inc. in Torrance, CA is hiring a Buyer to manage procurement activities for critical power amplification products.

You will compile data, qualify suppliers, prepare RFPs, and negotiate terms to ensure best value, quality, and on-time deliveries within a lean production environment. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of experience or equivalent, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in Excel; Infor LN knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 0–2 years' related experience or 3 years in lieu of a degree
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent organizational abilities and data accuracy
• Proficiency with Excel and supplier performance tools
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced procurement environment

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze data to determine feasibility and set price objectives
• Approve vendors, obtain quotes, examine bids and award contracts
• Follow up on awards through order completion
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best value and delivery
• Prepare RFPs and bid packages and maintain documentation
• Interface with suppliers to ensure best price and delivery
• Develop new suppliers and support engineering in supplier selection
• Ensure accurate data in MRP and production meetings
• Coordinate with engineering on BOMs, drawings, and EO changes
