Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Purchasing Specialist in Florida to source, negotiate, and procure goods and services. The role involves evaluating suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining cost-efficiency.

You will monitor inventory, collaborate with internal departments, and support supply chain operations. The position requires 1–3 years of experience, familiarity with SAP and MS Office, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 1 - 3 Years Work Experience.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Familiarity with inventory, scheduling and tracking software.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Ability to effectively communicate with leaders verbally and written.
• Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor special order items to ensure they are moved as promised.
• Review dead/slow inventory with managers and move to appropriate warehouses.
• Assist retrieving confirmations prior to receiving.
• Review SAP dashboards, ensuring all items are addressed timely.
• Assist in sourcing products.
• Review and help project anticipated out of stock products.
• Address administrative challenges with product data (missing pictures, information, etc.).
• Work with vendors to ensure accurate descriptions.
• Adhere to rebill processes.
• Maintain an accurate database of vendor contacts.
• Address drop ship items appropriately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
