Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent in Omaha, Nebraska to ensure timely procurement of materials and services for manufacturing operations.

You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Suppliers to maintain cost-effective supply chain performance. Responsibilities include creating POs in SAP, monitoring deliveries, and expediting when needed, while maintaining accurate data and stocking levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
• 2-3 years of purchasing, procurement, or related experience.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders and procurement records in SAP.
• Monitor delivery schedules with key suppliers and critical deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance and expedite deliveries as needed.
• Resolve supplier quality and delivery issues with internal teams.
• Approve invoice pricing and quantities.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data and set stocking levels.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, MRP, Sourcing, and Quality to meet sales order expectations.
• Prepare and execute purchase orders in SAP.
• Expedite delivery of goods and services to internal and external users.
• Escalate delivery issues to appropriate departments.
